On Saturday 31st October, The Government announced a new four week National Lockdown to commence from 12.01am on 5th November until 2nd December 2020.
As reported by Property Eye, Hybrid Estate Agencies such as Ewe Move have made ample provisions for a possible second lockdown by moving their services online. The many online house listings portals have made the job of finding your new home and selling your old home effortless.
But what about the legal side of moving?
We have already reported that conveyancing solicitors and law firms with capacity are in short supply due to a shortage of people to fill conveyancer roles. Many firms had to close offices during the first lockdown and are unable to cope with the higher volumes of online conveyancing which have exploded due to the Stamp Duty Holiday.
Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick took to social media over the weekend to confirm that renters and homeowners in England will be able to move and removal firms, tradespeople, and estate agents can still operate by going inside homes.
