What makes Sunbury on Thames so special?
I have grown up, lived, married and had children in Sunbury and my family has been in the area for many generations. It is a beautiful area to live in for the young and old, being in leafy Surrey it is near to Bushy Park, Hampton Court, Windsor and the River Thames. It is easy to gain access to London by train, near main motorways to reach the coast within an hour and to Heathrow Airport, but it is also far enough away from those things to enjoy the peaceful quiet life. The towns have a village feel and a close knit network of people.
The local community strive to keep green belt areas as natural and free as is possible without the development that many other areas have, as it is a big part of the attraction of what draws people there, and why so many people are choosing to live further out of London and commute. Sunbury, Walton, Twickenham, Richmond to name a few, have always had huge draws to people from the historical ages with mention in Charles Dickens’ novels, to having royalty stay in various areas. It remains that way today as it boasts beautiful gardens, local pubs and parks which are favourable to families, for retirement homes, and well-known celebrities.
Having worked and lived in the area for so long I have contacts over Surrey and South West London.
We are regular attendees of rugby matches at Twickenham Stadium and The Stoop, going for walks and cycling over the counties. We regularly visit local attractions from the old royal estates and castles to river cruises down different parts of the Thames.
What Do You Love about being a Conveyancer?
I qualified over 10 years ago and have been working in the legal sector for 20 years. I started out as a paralegal before becoming a Chartered Legal Executive. I have great pride in my job and profession and have experience in many types of property matters.
I always wanted to be a conveyancer, it is a pleasure to be able to help someone from start to finish with a huge life changing event of moving house, which is one of the biggest financial transactions of someone’s life! Often this is stressful for clients and I like to be able to ease and relieve that worry for them and to do a thorough job as quickly as possible for them. I love being able to help people move and having a satisfied and happy client!
What makes your service special?
I pride myself on being able to communicate well with my clients, agents and solicitors to get their transaction over the line in their specified timeframe.
It is so important to liaise with all parties and estate agents are a huge help with this. I have a great rapport with the agents I have worked with and who have been invaluable with negotiations and ensuring those deadlines set by our clients are met.
Often you can deal with professionals and they simply do not have the time to communicate with their clients and with the estate agents, and that causes frustration and delay. I make the time to do this in order to ensure that my clients reach their goal and moving date.
With my experience and knowledge I have had success with dealing with many high net worth residential property transactions that are within private estates in the Surrey area and with larger more complicated developments in London and the nearby Docks that have various management companies, leading to smoother transactions for my clients.
There are so many ways that a transaction can be delayed, from issues with mortgage lenders, surveys, landlord/management replies to enquiries; the key is to keep on top of these and ensure all parties and communicating and are pushing to achieve their clients’ targets within a realistic timeframe.
What are Your Passions Other than being a Conveyancer?
I love spending time with my family and friends, and often enjoy meeting up for long walks, cycle rides and enjoying days out.
When I have some time to myself I love to read historical books and family saga novels and enjoy some stress relieving and relaxing yoga. I also have a passion for baking and am a regular and avid cake maker for my family and for the school.
As the children are getting older my husband and I are looking forward to being able to travel more abroad as well as our plan to visit as many of the castles in UK as possible!
